Fumi Okiji
Fumi Okiji writes and teaches in the Department of Rhetoric at the University of California, Berkeley. Her work falls within the fields of black study and (Frankfurt School) critical theory. It has an emphasis on aesthetics and sound. Okiji is the author of Jazz as Critique: Adorno and Black Expression Revisited (2018) and is currently thinking about actuality, possibility and the modal anomaly of blackness/Africanness.
