Markus Messling
Markus Messling is professor of Romance Literature, Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies at Saarland University. He was vice director of the Marc Bloch Center, the Franco-German Institute for Research in the Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as professor of Romance literatures at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and is currently directing the ERC project Minor Universality. Narrative World Productions After Western Universalism. Publications include: The Epoch of Universalism (1769-1989) (edited with F. Hofmann, 2021), and Minor Universality (edited with J. Tinius, 2023).
