Charisse Burden-Stelly is a critical Black Studies scholar of political theory, political economy, intellectual history and historical sociology. Her research includes the transnational entanglements of racial capitalism, anticommunism and anti-Black structural racism in the United States. Her work also examines twentieth-century Black anti-capitalist thought. She is co-author of W. E. B. Du Bois: A Life in American History (2018).
