Simone Harris

Simone Harris is a Jamaican Maroon, activist, queer artist and creative industries consultant. Her work has been featured in festivals including Nuit Rose in Toronto, Outburst Queer Arts Festival in Belfast and Risco Festival in São Paulo among others. She is the founder of the carnival arts collective Walking Tall Jamaica, which is grounded in culture, connection and community. Her latest project Lady Blake Ophelia Stratum explores ancestry, colonialism and queer ritual.
