Colin Waters

Colin Waters is an honorary professor at the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment, University of Leicester. He worked as principal mapping geologist at the British Geological Survey. His main areas of research are Carboniferous and anthropocene stratigraphy. Waters has been Secretary of the Anthropocene Working Group and its Chair since 2020. He was lead editor of A Stratigraphical basis for the Anthropocene (2014).
