Yevgeniy Breyger studied at the University of Hildesheim, the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig and the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. In 2016, his debut volume flüchtige monde was published. Three years later, he won the Leonce and Lena Prize of the city of Darmstadt. His second volume of poetry gestohlene luft was published in 2020. Breyger was a fellow at the Schriftstellerhaus Stuttgart and received the Lyrikpreis München.
