Ulrike Lorenz
Ulrike Lorenz is president of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. From 2009 to 2019, she was director of Kunsthalle Mannheim. She studied art history and archaeology in Leipzig before gaining her doctorate in Weimar with a dissertation on the avant-garde architect Thilo Schoder. In 1990, she became director of the Kunstsammlung in Gera and the Otto Dix House, which is part of the museum. In 2003 she took on the directorship of Gera’s Stadtmuseum. From 2004 to 2008, she headed the Kunstforum Ostdeutsche Galerie in Regensburg. Since 2014, Lorenz has been a member of the Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
