Diana Deutsch
Diana Deutsch is a professor of psychology at the University of California and researches the perception of sound and language. Deutsch is known for discovering acoustic illusions and paradoxes, including the octave, scale and glissando illusions. Her more than 200 publications include Musical Illusions and Phantom Words: How Music and Speech Unlock Mysteries of the Brain (2019). For her outstanding contributions to the arts and psychology, Deutsch received the Rudolf Arnheim Award in 2004.
