Daniel Allen

Daniel Allen studied trumpet in Holguin and Havana, Cuba. He has worked on album productions and shared the stage with well-known artists such as Earth Wind and Fire, Lauryn Hill, Zap Mama, Dave Brubeck, Max Herre, Buena Vista Social Club, Tony Allen, Ayo, Ojos de Brujo and many others. In 2002, he joined Patrice and the Shashamani Band, in 2006, the Jimi Tenor backing band KabuKabu in the framework of the Tony Allen & Jimi Tenor Project. Since 2011, he supports the renowned American singer and composer Aloe Blacc on his world tour. Furthermore, he is Vice President of the non profit organization No Boundaries e. V., where he directs international cross-genre projects combining poetry, music and visual arts in projects in South Africa, Cuba and Senegal.
