The final days of WASSERMUSIK are to be held under the banner of the fourth Asian Film Festival Berlin. The featured films are productions that take a critical perspective on the much-extolled new potential for economic, political, and cultural developments between the countries ringing the Pacific. With a focus on Asia, America, Thailand, and Vietnam, the selected films tell unusual stories of migration, love, everyday struggle, empowerment, and the search for meaning.

In the presence of the director
Charlie, in his mid-thirties and seeking to make sense of his crisis as a failed author, meets with two old school friends: Luke, a high-living film star trying to cope with a broken marriage, and the rich, snotty Danny. In the course of their night out, the three run into the beautiful Bonnie with her underage sister and Bonnie’s gay friend, Chu. When the half-drunk crew later goes to Luke’s house in the Los Angeles hills, the night quickly spins out of control.
