From the laboratory to the seminar room, from the chemical formula to the theoretical construct: science and scholarship are always forms of design as well. What design potential can be found in historically shaped knowledge? To mark the ceremonial opening, this cluster of excellence invites the public to join in a celebration at HKW.

5pm The Antropocene Kitchen: The Lab Linking Home and World meets The Whole Earth: California and the Disappearance of the Outside. A discursive exhibition with Reinhold Leinfelder, Philip Oswalt, and Anselm Franke (curator, The Whole Earth).
