Alexanderplatz Reality Exchange
Alexanderplatz Reality Exchange is a performance by British artist Orion Maxted, a response to the Meridian | Urban project "Metrotopie" by artists Anne Duk Hee Jordan and Shira Wachsmann, curated by Keumhwa Kim. The performance relates to the ongoing examination of reality - specifically how to render it tangible to an audience and how to use the space of performance to help shape reality.
Urbanity, man and nature are the cornerstones of the project "Metrotopie" curated by Keumwha Kim. In a symbolic gesture, a tram car will be converted into an urban habitat, with abundant vegetation. Public transport as a medium and carrier of urban history and personal stories generates lines of energy within the urban space. The travelling ecosystem symbolizes supplying Berlin and its inhabitants with the primal energy Qi.
