all day | Am Spreebord, Nähe Caprivibrücke
Concepts of traditional Asian medicine are based on the holistic notion of an energetic interaction between humanity and the cosmos. In this context, preventive measures are highly important. The publicly accessible work-out machines that are common in Beijing’s public spaces serve as a perfect example. By bringing them to Berlin, curator Manuela Lietti transforms the urban space into an open-air gym which stimulates the inhabitants’ interactions with each another and their environment. Videos and photographs of Chinese urban exercisers will also be shown.
Curator: Manuela Lietti (born in Italy, lives and works in Peking, China)
