The exhibition The Potosí-Principle traces the development of Andean Baroque as part of the colonial economic system: "The history of exploitation of the Viceroyalty of Peru under Spanish colonial rule is inscribed in Potosí - and its colonial Baroque painting. In this sense, Latin America was a laboratory of contemporary image production in the 17th century. "
