A Time Far Past

Adapted from the famous novel "A Time Far Past", by Le Lu, the film sets in during the 1950s and follows the journey of Sai, from boyhood to manhood, and focuses on his marriage at the age of 12 to 18 year old Tuyet. The marriage is unsuccessful as Sai is preoccupied with the youth organisation of communists who are gaining power in his village. Sai’s life then runs parallel to historic developments shaped by the war.
