Halloween Special: Ghosts of Asia

Offbeat horror films from Thailand - the evening will begin with horror stories, but by the time it gets dark, the ghosts from the dimension of film will be on the prowl. Naturally, the last film will end around midnight. And don’t forget: if you dress up in a costume you can participate in the costume competition to be held during the interval.

Halloween costume competition: The winners will receive prizes ranging from artist t-shirts, paper cutout kits for building Thai robots, catalogues, gift certificates for a “candlelight dinner” and a variety of Dracula drinks.

A chilling tale about a young photographer, Tun and his girlfriend Jane, who are involved in a hit and run accident killing and abandoning a young woman. Soon after the incident Tun starts to see strange light patterns and faces appearing on his photographs accompanied with nightmares and an actual ghostly presence. Tun and Jane decide to investigate the photographs and the young woman behind the haunting.

Buppha Rahtree, a shy, attractive university student, who is short on rent, is seduced by a rich playboy, Ake Damrongsub, who solely wants to win a cynical bet. Ratree finds herself abandoned and even worse pregnant. Penniless and alone, Ratree dies from medical complications, only to return as a vengeful ghost.
