Michael Rakowitz (USA)
Born in Great Neck, USA, in 1973, the artist of Iraqi descent Michael Rakowitz lives and works in Chicago. Rakowitz participated in multiple group and solo exhibition around the world as well as at various Biennales. His latest exhibition at the Tate Modern "The Worst Condition Is To Pass Under A Sword Which Is Not One’s Own" (2010) as well as his widely known work “The Invisible Enemy Should not Exist” (2007, Lombard Freid –Projects, New York) deals with recent political development in Iraq since the last US invasion.
