The aim of the "Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance - Against Extremism and Violence" is to make visible our country‘s commitment to democracy and tolerance in civil society and to encourage and stimulate as many fellow citizens as possible to fight for the principles of democracy.
On 23 May 1949, that is 60 years ago, the Basic Constitutional Law was proclaimed. This anniversary, through the conferment of the title "Ambassador for Democracy and Tolerance“, is calling for greater resonance in the public sphere to this commitment in civil society.
