The first feature film taken since the end of Taliban rule in Afghanistan. A 12-year-old girl has to feed her family, because the Mullah’s refuse to allow women to participate in public life and to work outside the home. Her mother disguises her as a boy. The terror perpetrated by the Taliban is palpable in the young girl's fear of being discovered.
