Fête de la Francophonie
Delegation of the German-speaking Community, the French Community and the Walloon Region, the embassies of the Republic of Mali and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in cooperation with the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
Over 150 million people worldwide speak French. Since 1998, numerous countries celebrate the Fête de la Francophonie annually, affirming through this the cultural bond that is created through language. At the Berlin festival, singer-composer-lyricist Julien Arpetti and his band will tell stories about everyday events–an homage to the grand emotions of the French chansons. The group BaliMurphy, whose album "Poussière" was a summer hit as well as the latest Live-Music are expected to be on hand. Complimentary delicacies from the French-speaking world will be served.
