After decades in exile, Samba Félix Ndiaye returns to Senegal, his home country. He barely recognises Dakar, the city of his youth. In his search for explanations, he meets old friends, intellectuals and members of international organisations. They paint an unsparing picture of the new Africa, which contradicts the one drawn by Western reporters.
