Conakry, the capital of Guinea and home of BB, a political cartoonist working for a liberal newspaper, is suffering from a drought. He has fallen in love with his boss’s daughter. The problem is that he is also the son of the Imam of Conakry, who has great things in store for him. The spirits have decided that BB will be his successor. Meanwhile, corrupt politicians are exploiting the Imam’s naivety. They want him to play the rain-maker. But the purifying thunderstorm simply refuses to take place... Great emotional cinema with a subtle sense of political realities.
