The shady detective Remy (Dennis Quaid) investigates a murder case in New Orleans, but not very thoroughly. The persistent prosecutor Anne (Ellen Barkin) is supposed to keep an eye on Remy but stumbles first on his charm, then on a web of corruption that doesn’t suit the swinging name of the film and the city...
