Taylor is among the chief voices of the new American left. She is the author of From #BlackLivesMatter to Black Liberation and editor of How We Get Free: Black Feminism and the Combahee River Collective. In 2016, the online magazine The Root called her one of the most influential African-Americans. Articles by her have appeared in the New York Times, Paris Review, The Guardian and Jacobin. Her latest book, Race for Profit: Black Housing and the Urban Crisis of the 1970s, will be published in fall of 2019.
