Tiganá Santana plays Milton Nascimentos Milagre dos peixes
In 1973, thanks to a stroke of genius, Milton Nascimento rescued his album Milagre dos peixes from the censorship of the Brazilian military dictatorship. Instead of lyrics he simply sang lalala. The singer-songwriter Tiganá Santana is celebrated for his combination of Brazilian and West African music. For No! Music he has produced a new interpretation of Milagre dos peixes.
Arrigo Barnabé & Claras e Crocodilos
In 1980 the Pop avant-gardist deconstructed and revolutionized Música Popular Brasileira with Clara Crocodilo, employing the twelve-tone technique, dissonant Jazz, and spoken word. An unfinished process: to this day the material is being continually reworked.

Nobody (Willis Earl Beal)
Better to be a nobody than to surrender one’s autonomy: The career dropout and attribution skeptic Beal prefers to stage his lo-fi Blues under his own direction and as a nebulous outsider—with a powerful voice.
