In 2014 South Africa celebrates the 75th birthday of its most important jazz musician. Awarded a Grammy in 1968, Hugh Masekela has played with greats such as Fela Kuti, Paul Simon, Bob Marley, and Louis Armstrong. In 1987 his song “Bring Him Back Home” became the anthem for Nelson Mandela’s liberation.
