Dominik Ritszel inquires about father son relationships, and the role of space and objects in this relationship. John Smith evokes three objects that his father had shown him before he passed away. Their original form and function seem completely obscured by wear and tear. Anouk De Clerq, Anton Aekiet and Jerry Galle question the metaphor of the singing swan, that sings its best at the moment of its death, as they explore the sound of a pixel before it disappears. Yves Netzhammer returns to the basis of film, the image. The animation starts off by a scene on a platform at sea, and proposes an immersion into the image with a neat associative logic that negates all conventional narration.
