Statements, Q&A
Receiving
with statements from Thomas Macho, Nils Röller, Introduction/Q&A: Mathias Gatza
Receiving – the process of apperception and sensemaking, gathering and processing information – is reformed within the digital dispositive by means of a new apparatus, additional relays as well as different pacing. Are the familiar collective cultural technics of reading and writing challenged? Is text, as medium and carrier of information and sense reshaped ? Who writes, how does a text inscribe itself within the augmented time-space of the digital and how does it continue? Thomas Macho and Nils Röller adopt and dicuss positions from a cultural historical and media philosophical perspective.
