Imagine(d) Kinships
Asian Film Festival Berlin
Family, (blood) relatives, gender roles – life blueprints and expectations of community are going through constant change – both wanted and unwanted – in Asia and the Asian diaspora. At the same time, tradition and established power structures remain. And yet, in the midst of all this dependence, there is room for individual, self-made life designs. The festival presents 26 contemporary Asian features films, documentaries and short films on the topic.
In addition to the films, a panel discussion and artist talks provide the necessary space for debate.
