How does learning inside “concrete blocks” affect the students? Do they become “cement heads” or, quite the opposite, particularly creative? Do the clean structures help them order their thoughts? In a film project with Evgeny Khlebnikov, the 11th grade students at Johann-Gottfried-Herder Gymnasium combined animated elements with images of the school. They developed characters who attempt to reveal the limits and possibilities of typical 1970s architecture.
