Exquisite Accordion-Pop Cosmos

coba, aka Yasuhiro Kobayashi - accordionist, composer, arranger. For years he has performed all over the world with Björk, and he collaborated on her album "Homogenic” –perhaps it isn’t a coincidence after all that the Icelander is wearing a kimono on the cover. The Japanese musician is as successful as he is versatile. A graduate of the Venetian "Scuela di Musica," he won the World Accordion Competition, wrote the soundtrack for the psychological drama "Kao / Face," symphony orchestras perform his compositions, and he makes TV music. He juggles styles like a virtuoso: coba has sold more than 1 million CDs and is known for his unique pop-Accordion-Style.

Ray Abshire (USA)

Two-Step and Waltzes from the Mississippi Delta

A music that is connected to the land and its history, and as passionate as the spicy Cajun cuisine. Ray Abshire songs are about life and savoring it and his voice makes you feel every nuance. Abshire belongs to one of Louisiana's great musical families, and in 1974 he performed at the first Cajun music festival with the legendary Balfa Brothers Band. His songs are dedicated to those who go to the ball, “au bal,” on the weekend. He sings "I’d much rather dance with you than make love to the others!” and "Chère Bébé Créole". His lively accordion drives the music. Cajun Corner raves that his music has all the ingredients to "give you that divine feeling". And the title of his CD "Arrête pas la Musique" expresses what all of us are thinking when we hear him play: "Don’t stop the music!"
