Dj Zhao

Dj Zhao is a DJ, musicologist, political analyst and journalist who focuses on the evolution of social dance and bringing a poly-cultural understanding of sound to his sets. His theoretical inquiries have dealt with topics such as the political significance of social dance from pre-hellenistic societies to the present and the shaping of African American rhythm through the historical process of colonialism. His talks have been presented at various academic and cultural institutions.
