Nadiye Ünsal

Nadiye Ünsal studied Cultural Anthropology and Social Sciences in Germany and Turkey. She currently works on her PhD thesis Coloniality and the Legal Concept of Refugee in the Border and Migration Politics of Europe and Turkey/Ottoman Empire and is employed at the Migrationsrat Berlin e. V. (Migration Council Berlin). She is the project coordinator of MSO Inklusiv! which is an intersectional project aiming at promoting LGBT*I*Q within migrant and diasporic communities in Germany. Her work as activist and film maker focuses on the European border regime and self-organized anti-racist struggles of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) in Germany.
