Elizabeth Sears
Elizabeth Sears is George H. Forsyth Jr. Collegiate Professor of History of Art at the University of Michigan. Trained in the Warburgian tradition, she specializes in Western medieval art and disciplinary historiography. A series of investigations into the life and work of figures in the Warburg circle is leading to a study of the KBW mission across tumultuous decades, 1929–1964. She has been the recipient of a Guggenheim grant and fellowships in Rome, Hamburg, Berlin, Washington, and New York.
