Eva Reiter

Eva Reiter studied recorder and viola da gamba at the University of Music and Per­forming Arts, Vienna, and the Sweelinck Conservatorium Amsterdam. She has received numerous distinctions for her composing, including the Förderungspreis of the City of Vienna in 2008, the Austrian State Scholarship for Composition, and the Erste Bank Composition Award in 2016. In 2013 she was a scholarship holder at the Akademie Schloss Solitude. Her composition Alle Verbindungen gelten nur jetzt was one of the works selected for the International Rostrum of Composers (IRC) 2009. Reiter’s compositions have been performed at international festivals, amongst others the Ars Musica/­Brussels, ISCM World New Music Festival, generator, and MaerzMusik Berlin. She performs regularly at festivals for Old and New Music, both as a soloist and in various Baroque orchestras and ­ensembles for contemporary music. She has been a permanent member of the Belgian ensemble Ictus since 2015.
