Anne Peters

Anne Peters is Director at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, adjunct Professor at the University of Basel, honorary Professor at the University of Heidelberg and the Freie Universität Berlin, as well as the William C. Cook Global Law Professor at the Michigan Law School. The focus of her current researchis international law, in particular its constitutionalization and history, international animal rights, global governance, as well as the status of the individual in international law. Books (authored and co-edited) include: Beyond Human Rights (2016); Transparency in International Law (2013); Oxford Handbook of the History of International Law (2012); Conflict of Interest in Global, Public and Corporate Governance (2012); Elemente einer Theorie der Verfassung Europas (2001); The Constitutionalization of International Law (2011); Non-state Actors as Standard Setters (2009); Women, Quotas and Constitutions (1999); Das Gebietsreferendum imVölkerrecht (1995).
