Angelica Pesarini

Angelica Pesarini holds a PhD in sociology and is a lecturer at NYU Florence. Her research focuses on issues of race, identity and citizenship in colonial and postcolonial Italy and she also investigates the racialisation of the Italian political discourse on immigration. She is the author of a number of publications, including the edited volume The Black Mediterranean, a study rethinking the contemporary European migration crisis in the Central Mediterranean.
