Johannes von Müller

Johannes von Müller works at the Warburg Institute, coordinating the international research project Bilderfahrzeuge: Aby Warburg's Legacy and the Future of Iconology. He studied art history and history in Berlin and Rome and received his PhD from the University of Basel. His work focuses on visual politics and historiography. He published Herrscherbild und Fürstenspiegel: Eine ikonische Politologie (2020) and co-edited the volume Image Journeys: The Warburg Institute and a British Art History (2019).
