Eckart Marchand

Eckart Marchand is a member of the Project Bilderfahrzeuge: The Legacy of Aby Warburg and the future of Iconology and Assistant Archivist at the Warburg Institute. He was Lecturer in Italian Renaissance Art at the Art History Department at Reading University and has published on the representation of gestures in 15th-century Florentine painting, plaster cast and sculpture from 1400 to 1900, the work of the English Sculptor John Flaxman and on Aby Warburg. He is a co-editor of the Sculpture Journal.
