Rüdiger Kruse

Rüdiger Kruse (CDU) has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2009, prior to which he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament for eight years. Since 2015 he has been his parliamentary group’s representative for the maritime economy. Up until March 2018 he was the rapporteur for culture and media on the Bundestag’s Budget Committee, where he successfully campaigned in parliamentary consultations for an increase in the annual culture budget. The project “The New Alphabet” is a result of his initiative. Since March 2018 he has been the rapporteur for transport and digital infrastructure on the Bundestag’s Budget Committee.
