Dmitrij Kapitelman

Dmitrij Kapitelman is a journalist and writer. He came to Germany from Kiev with his family as a quota refugee when he was eight years old. He studied sociology and political science in Leipzig and went to journalism school in Munich after graduating. He made his debut as an author with his novel Das Lächeln meines unsichtbaren Vaters (2016), which became a huge success shortly after publication and won the Klaus-Michael Kühne Prize. In 2021, Kapitelman’s second novel Eine Formalie in Kiev was published.
