Sharmila Hashimi

Sharmila Hashimi is an activist and journalist. She works with governmental and non-governmental organizations and international media. In 2009, she founded the Afghan Journalism Center, where she implemented projects to improve democracy and freedom of speech and to help women journalists in Afghanistan help themselves.She currently works as an editor for Handbook Germany, a multilingual online platform on arriving and living in Germany for people with refugee and migration experience.
