Priyamvada Gopal is a professor of Postcolonial Studies at the University of Cambridge. Her research interests include the novel, South Asian literature, critical race studies and the politics as well as cultures of empire and globalization. Among her publications are The Indian English Novel: Nation, History and Narration (2009) and her most recent book Insurgent Empire: Anticolonial Resistance and British Dissent (2021).
