Ahmed Adan

Ahmed Adan is currently serving as Senior Strategic Communications Specialist and advisor to the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia. He played a leading role in drafting the first Federal Communication Strategy and contributed to the draft Media Law. Amongst others, he worked with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for the Durable Solutions Peace Building Fund program. In Columbus, Ohio, he co-founded The Somali Media and Cultural Organization, a cross-cultural and cross-sectorial cooperation platform to exchange knowledge between different communities, business and media. Since 2014, Adan has leaded the technical team of the Radio Mogadishu National Archive and Digitalization Project, providing technical support, training and mentoring to the Radio Mogadishu team.
