Valuing Nature: Beyond the Vital Balance Sheet
Anthropocene Campus
Sat, Nov 15, 2014 presented by Sabine Höhler, Ioan Negrutiu; co-developed with Natalie Jeremijenko
Let’s auction off Berlin’s air! If only as an example for the values around the common property “air.” Common property? What if environmental pollution increases? Will clean air remain free? Is it actually? After all, wasn’t there a time when the land belonged to all? Etudes on valuing and accounting for nature (Sabine Höhler until 17:00) followed by thoughts, on debt, sensitivity to disturbance, ignorance, autarchy, and options of cultural landscapes and ecosystems (Ioan Negrutiu starting at 17:00).
