Forensic Interventions
Forensics is a realm where science and activism meet: a space for political interventions. With examples from the research group Forensic Architecture on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla (12:10-27:00), the approach to land rights in Alaska (27:30-39:00) or on the legal north-south divide using the example of the poison arsenic (40:00-67:00), on “missing villages” in the Amazon (69:20-93:10), the global spread of aerosols (93:20-112:00) and other contexts of image-creating techniques, scholarship, and atavistic engagement: with an introduction by Kathryn Yusoff, an expert in human geography (0:00-11:40).
