Anthropocene Campus | Limits of Knowledge

Fri, Nov 21, 2014 with Wolfgang Lucht and Dominique Pestre

What is the relationship between academic research and public trust?: this is the core question in this exchange between Wolfgang Lucht and Dominique Pestre. In light of models that only allow for relative prognoses, and the complex links between fields of research? Where, for example, do the limits of chemistry lie? From thousands of uncontrollable molecule forms via work in laboratories and from international concerns to political guidelines? And only the limits of a much more complex ecology? A conversation on capacities and the function of natural science, alchemy, and anthropology.
