Wolfgang Lucht is director of the research program in earth systems analysis at Potsdam Institut für Klimafolgenforschung and Alexander-von-Humboldt-Professor for Sustainability Studies, Geographisches Institut, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Dominique Pestre is a researcher at École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
