Anthropocene Campus | Claiming: Discussion
Sat, Nov 15, 2014 moderated by Libby Robin
Why do we not consider sewage pipes the veins of the ecosystem or the concrete as the nature of the cities? What does the Anthropocene have in common with the Titanic? What do top-down or bottom-up movements mean for the Anthropocene? How well do participatory processes function? Should we speak of resilience, resistance, or adaptation in regard to the changing environment? A round of questions in a snowball system under the direction of the campus seminar series and audience, with Marco Amiero, Erle Ellis, Will Steffen, Nabil Ahmed and Elena.
