Dear members of the list,

to all of you, who celebrate Christmas - whether in the snow, under the
southern sun or under a grey winter sky - I'd like to wish a nice and
peaceful festivity. But also to all of you who may not, I am sending
here all my best wishes at the end of this year.

The forum will go on during these days. Throughout the holidays I will
be at my computer place, so all incoming posting will be published as
soon as possible. 

I would like to use this opportunity as well, to welcome the new members
of the mailing list. Please note that all discussion contributions so
far, are easily accessible through the web interface:

Enter first - then go to "Read Messages". On this level there is also a
search feature for the whole archive of contributions.

If you only have email and no WWW-access, you can search the archive as
well. The way how this works you can read in the "Short Guide for our

and write in the "Subject" field only the command:
