But i am not sharing your following point of view: > >Once you understand Art loses its value because you are able to produce the >same. I think art is not something to understand, but to experience it. It is a discipline in which if you getting involved you more are surprised ! Maybe this is a great value of this human enterprise which of course are embedded of "poiesis". Fact is that mostly artist are not talking about art but of marketing themselves constantly in a self-promotion tour ! On the other hand you have the political concerned artists talking about peace and all this stuff of an nuclear wasted enviroment, exhibiting it in mainstream documenta or any kind of so called biennale, where the snobs are shaking hands with the corruption and mafia ! I am very sad to be hearing me saying this cynic words ! It would be so nice if my pure idealism of earlier days would survive in my consciousness. We must count that art is one aspect of this whole history to be now here ! For all who submitted a cross, i will travel to Santiago de Chile at 3. of January 2000. The inauguration of "Crosses of The Earth - Homage To Indigenous Peoples" networking art installation will be held at 15th January, 2000 in Museum of Contemporary Art, Santiago de Chile, if someone are considering to meet me :-) I will be back to the discussion on end of february 2000. Take care and greetings, saludos y cuidanse Hans BraumŸller ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- visual artist ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- join e-mail art list sending e-mail to mailart-subscribe@egroups.com + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + http://www.crosses.net + + + + + + + your cross in the net + + + + + + +=
